Taking Blaine’s fingertips in one hand, Sebastian couldn’t stop himself from kissing them. He loved that Blaine was as devoted to getting Kurt back as he was and it dawned on him that if the children would all be bound directly by blood, that so would he and Blaine by virtue of that. Even Kurt and Trin’s children would be technically siblings. It would make them a solid family. There was only one sacrifice he could think of to make things better for them.
“Let’s propose.” He said quickly, glancing at Blaine. “To Kurt. As soon as the baby’s born. As soon as he seems ready.” He paused. “I want to divorce you. I want you to marry Kurt. Legally. Think about it. My child and your child will be siblings and nothing will ever change that. I don’t think we can get more married than we are right now, but Kurt needs that security. He needs that extra bond.” Sebastian glossed over the remark about Kurt carrying a baby for them. This pregnancy was so hard on him; he didn’t want to see Kurt and Kurt’s body in any more danger. “You need it too Blaine. I know you don’t want to admit it. But you do. I’m not going anywhere. I know Kurt loves me. I know I can’t leave him.” He paused kissing Blaine softly. “It has to be you.” Blaine really was beautiful, it made Sebastian smile. “Let’s keep this between us for now? I don’t want to spook him again. Ok?”
Blaine sighed softly as Sebastian took his fingertips. He loved the feel of his lips on the tips of each finger and it just solidified that this intimacy was all theirs. He looked at him as he spoke about everything. A plan that consisted of divorcing him and marrying Kurt because their children would be blood related. Sebastian was right that Kurt needed the extra bond, needed that extra push that would come with a marriage but would he do that. He had mentioned one other time that he didn’t want Sebastian and Blaine to get a divorce for his sake, but then it clicked in Blaine’s mind that if they went and got a divorce before ever telling Kurt it just might work.
He looked up at Sebastian eyes for a moment and smiled a sad smile, “if I do this and it works we’re all wearing rings, new ones that symbolize us as a unit. You’re right that I do need the extra bond, and I know that that’s the only way he is going to be with us if he’s bound to us in some significant way.” Blaine looked down and back up into Sebastian’s green eyes as tears pooled in his, “I never thought I would be saying this, but Sebastian Anderson-Smythe I want a divorce.”
